Her music moves between the achingly intimate and the sonically cinematic, grounded in lyrics that cut straight through the noise. A classically trained violinist and a self-taught guitarist, Joanie writes music like she dreams: vividly, intensely, and with total disregard for the rules. 

Joanie sees the world a little differently and a little too clearly. She loves the solitude of nature, the company of animals, and the comfort of books.
